Dermaplaning / Facial
Dermaplaning is a safe and highly effective physical exfoliation procedure. Use a sterile surgical scalpel to gently “shave” the surface of the skin, gently removing the top layer of dead skin and hair.
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a treatment that removes the topmost layers of the skin along with vellus hairs, or the soft, lightly-colored hairs on the face known as peach fuzz. The main goal of this treatment is to achieve a smooth, even surface to the skin. Dermaplaning can even improve the appearance of acne scars, fine wrinkles, and dull, dry skin. It is also known to help skincare products penetrate more easily for better results.
Who can Benefit from Dermaplaning?
Almost anyone with any skin type can benefit from dermaplaning. Prior to your treatment, you will be able to speak with one of our skin care professionals to discuss your medical history, skin type, and skin care goals. Those with active acne may need to wait until their acne is cleared up to schedule an appointment to avoid irritating the skin or spreading bacteria.
What to Expect?
About one week prior to your dermaplaning treatment, we recommend avoiding sun exposure, as treatment on sunburned skin will make the treatment painful.
During your Dermaplaning treatment, a special exfoliating blade will be gently dragged across the skin to skim off dead skin cells and vellus hair from the face. Once the Dermaplaning is complete, we add an enzyme exfoliating + a hydrating mask followed by customized serums and lastly sunscreen to protect your face. There is typically no downtime associated with dermaplaning.
Note that dermaplaning will not make your hair grow back thicker or darker. When your hair begins to grow back it might feel different because the hair was cut straight across, but it’s actually the same texture as before and grows at the same speed. It might seem thicker because the hair was cut by the scalpel instead of having a natural point to it.

Oxygen RX Facial

AND HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT LAST?
Treatments vary from a couple of sessions to several sessions. In most cases, the effect can be seen fairly soon (1 or 2 sessions) and that is why Derma infusion treatment is a great option for special events and occasions. Future girlfriend? This could be a great option to get that glowy look! The effect may only last a few days to a week if this is your first time. More maintenance would have to be done (2 or 3 times), and the effect would be more pronounced and long-lasting. Then, it would last from 6 months to a year. Treatments can be done every 2-4 weeks.
